It’s been said that champions are crowned in October, but they are made in June, July and August. In other words, if you don’t show up and put in the hard work over the summer, you aren’t going to show up in a big way at the big meets at the end of the season.
To that end, Valkyrie Running Club is once again running a conditioning program on Mondays through Fridays each week throughout the summer. Conditioning dedicated to preparing participants in 7th-12th grades (in the upcoming school year) for the fall Cross Country season at SM West HS or Westridge MS. It is also open, however, to athletes wanting to get in shape for other sports or just to find out what training for Cross Country is like.
